100 images
Taking pictures is always an awesome experience for me. Until you're taking a picture of something, do you ever really see the story behind it? I rarely take pictures other than with friends during activities and whatnot which makes taking deliberate pictures a very different experience. Instead of taking a picture of a moment with my friends I am looking for my moment, I am looking for beauty, I am looking for a story.
In a place I have lived 19 years of my life I found so much that has gone unnoticed through my images. So many stories wanting to be told. I have seen these roses bloom and die every single year for over a decade, yet I took this picture and I could feel so many people being this rose behind this cage. The timeless rose, so beautiful, the representation of love. Yet it dies so quickly, it can be picked by anyone, owned by anyone, looked at by anyone, ultimately destroyed by anyone. They are praised yet die, cherished but only for a moment. I realize we are just roses. Our life is so short, here today and die tomorrow. Like a rose we bloom then wither. Our bloom is so short, we die like those before us. Encaged in this short life, in our perishing bodies. It speaks to me.

Composite
Week 5: For my full composite my main goal was to tell as story. I am in my car very detached from this very unsettling situation. Theres a guy running to the scene to see if theres someone in the car. I struggled a little with getting the lighting of the guy correct. I felt like i did well on the balance of the composite. The lighting as a whole I felt was well. This terrible scene is happening on this nice morning. Theres leading details that show the law was being broken. The story here is very telling which is something I have been working on with my work within photoshop. Instead of just making the whole thing look realistic, instead making it visually enticing.
